High Summer News from Yarn Box

It's been a fun month here at Yarn Box, the new autumn ranges are on order and I can't wait to see them! I hope you'll love them as much as I do. Of course, I'm too impatient to wait too long to see something new so this month has seen the arrival of Mini Mochi yarn, Addi Lace needles and Soak. Other news that many of you will be pleased to hear is that the new Debbie Bliss Knitting Magazine (Fall/Winter 2009) will be arriving in September. If you'd like to pre-order your copy you can do so now.

Happy Knitting!

Soak is gentle and deliciously scented with fabric-friendly ingredients that revitalize fibers so they look great and last longer.  Available citrus, flora, aquae and scentless (for sensitive skin)

Addi Lace Circular Needles

If you like circular needles you may well have tried Addi's circular needles (known as Addi Turbo in the USA). They're great for when you want slick needles and your yarn is not too slippery but my sister-in-law and I think Addi Lace needles may be even better.  What's the difference? The smooth hollow brass circular needles are coated with a fine resin to help hang onto more slippery yarns. The tips have sharper points than the standard Addi circulars to help pick up fine yarns and manipulate them for lace work. (The sharper tips are also good for socks.) The red cord is more flexible than the cord on the standard Addi circular needle (the join between the needle and cable is smooth as you'd expect from Addi) and the cables are marked with the size and the cable length - you need never go hunting for a needle gauge again!
