Spring Update

A very late February Newsletter from Yarn Box HQ - so late we have called it a Spring Update. Over the next few weeks we have lots of fascinating new collections to showcase to you. A lot of the pre-ordered magazines and yarns are all expected in next week - so it will be a very busy week ahead.

We have also refreshed our site - it should be a lot easier to navigate and find what you need. Hope you like the newbies listed below - all are very very yummy. Happy Knitting :)

Debbie Bliss Magazine Issue 2 UPDATE

The Debbie Bliss Magazine Issue 2 has officially been launched. We have prepared the usual "Review" which outlines all the projects and contents on our blog (click here). At £3.75 it is very good value for money in terms of a good magazine to read as well as the 35 patterns it contains. To make sure you get your copy - order now (click here).

Sadly DY have only been able to allocate 10 copies to each store and as promised, the magazines will be sent out in which the orders have been received. We have so far posted out orders up to the number 28920 from 2 November (yes we have been pre-ordering since November!). Everyone else will be on wave 2 of dispatches which we have been told will be with us w/c 23rd February (next week!). As soon as they are received here – I will make sure they come out to you on the same day. So for UK orders we are hoping you will have your copy by Friday 27th the latest and for overseas - it will be the following week.

Debbie Bliss Eco Cotton - New Yarn and Book

Debbie Bliss Eco Fairtrade Cotton Collection - manufactured from organic cotton within an ecological and socially conscious process involves integrating farmers, their families and the textile industry as equal partners.

The bioRe Association carries out projects in training, teaching and health. The farmers receive agricultural advice and are supported on a long term basis to develop their organic farming practices. The farmer's income increases considerably compared to conventional farming, there is no more damage to their health and the fertility of the soil improves.

All production is based on the principle of fairness, with equal partnerships, involvement and participation, humane working hours and conditions. Organic means that toxic chemicals are replaced with harmless alternatives. The cotton is grown without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers or defoliants and is harvested by hand.

The yarn is dyed with non toxic or carcinogenic dyes and the water recycled and rendered drinkable by Idra, a non profit making organisation.

Fully supported by 16 patterns from her new Eco Fairtrade Collection Book.
